It's not the Dog Days of Summer yet. But two events in Bucks County this weekend will focus on doggies.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —It's not the Dog Days of Summer yet.
But June's arrival means it's time for festivals to begin —and two in Bucks County this weekend will focus on pooches.
We enter the month of June and the start of the summer swoon with holidays such as Father's Day, Juneteenth, and the official start of the season of sun.

Festivals will be the focus as June, July and August heat up. Every Bucks County community will offer something that will be rather unique.
We usually talk about the dog days of summer in August. But this weekend, there are two events that sort of serve as an opening act.

It's the annual Bucks Arts & Barks Pet and Family Fest at Warminster Community Park on Sunday, an event dedicated to dogs.
Meanwhile, the first Langhorne Arts Fair will take place on Saturday with a Dog Art Challenge.
And while it's not in Bucks County, Horsham Day in Horsham Township Saturday is just a stone's throw from the county line and Warminster Township and offers lots of fun and food for families, including fireworks at night.

Annual Bucks Arts & Barks Pet and Family Fest Sunday
The 5th Annual Bucks Arts & Barks Pet and Family Fest returns Sunday with more than 80 vendors and lots of pet education at Warminster Community Park. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Warminster Community Park. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

7th Annual Doylestown Music Fest Begins Saturday
The Doylestown Music Fest is a grassroots event that supports and promotes local bands and musicians. During this week-long event, local restaurants, bars, cafes, merchants, churches, and museums host talented musicians for residents and visitors to enjoy. This year will be Doylestown Music Fest’s seventh annual event. Participating venues include Villa Capri, Chambers 19, Hops/Scotch 22, M.O.M.s, Salem Church, Penn Taproom, Puck Live, Nomad Trading Co. Domani Star, Shanteel Yogo Sanctuary, Doylestown Mennonite Church and others. Over the past years, there have been more than 325 performances during Doylestown Music Fest! Sesame Place Officially Opens 123 Playground
Sesame Place Philadelphia has officially opened its 123 Playground, just in time for the unofficial start of summer at the Middletown Township amusement park. The playground features 3,000 square feet of space and is surrounded by blooming flowerbeds and decorative topiaries modeled after Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby. It features slides, soft play mounds, a balance beam, and interactive play panels – all garden-themed. There are charging ports and shaded seating for parents while the little ones run, climb, and play. The playground is in the center of the park, where the former Sunny Day Carousel was located. It was built after many requests from guests. Sesame Place is open daily through Labor Day.

Langhorne Arts Fair and Dog Art Challenge Saturday
The first Langhorne Arts Fair will take place on Saturday with a Dog Art Challenge. Adults, kids, and friendly dogs are invited to the new event at Langhorne Heritage Farm, 222 N. Green St., in Langhorne. It will be held on Saturday, June 1, (rain date June 2) from Noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

Horsham Day Features New Trampoline Show
Horsham Township's biggest event of the year will feature a new trampoline show and a few new twists to the annual Horsham Day. Horsham Day takes place at Deep Meadow, Carpenter, and Kohler parks on Saturday, June 1. (Read this Patch story for more details.)
