5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend

From a Juneteenth event to a car show, Father's Day weekend is a big fun to have fun with Dad.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —It's Father's Day weekend. And as a father, this weekend is a great time to treat Dad right.

While family barbecues are great —and so are presents of course —there are so many fun events this weekend where Dad can unwind and enjoy some fresh air, good food, and everything Bucks County has to offer.

And while next Wednesday marks the federal holiday of Juneteenth (my birthday!!), some communities are getting a jump on celebrations honoring the African-American community. Others will hold their events on the following weekend.

Doylestown will celebrate Juneteenth with an event Saturday at the Mercer Museum. Two others are planned for next weekend.

If it's music you want, then Music Off Main is the main place to be in Yardley on Saturday. Or check out the "Destination to Soultown" show in Bristol Township on Saturday. Then there is a group that's banded together for a good cause this weekend.

Juneteenth Celebrations Scheduled In Bucks County

Juneteenth celebrations will be taking place throughout Bucks County this weekend and next weekend. The celebration kicks off in Doylestown on Saturday, June 15 at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown and continues on Sunday, June 16 at Washington Crossing Historic Park before concluding on June 22 at the Mayor's Park in Langhorne. Music Off Main Summer Concert Series Starts Saturday

Experience Yardley is ready for summer. The community organization has announced plans for its "Music Off Main" summer concert series with shows starting on Saturday. Experience Yardley organizers said the 2024 concert series will run through Aug. 3. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

"Destination to Soultown" Saturday In Bristol Township

Here's a destination for the weekend: The "Destination to Soul Town." The Sensational Soul Cruisers are back and ready for another show at the Bristol Township Amphitheatre on Saturday.

Tickets are available online at bristolpa.myrec.com or by going to the front administration window at the Bristol Township Municipal Building located at 2501 Bath Road. Tickets will also be available at the gate…Bristol residents pay $11, non-residents $20. Additionally, there are four food trucks that night for you to enjoy dinner and dessert before the show from Sandy's Beef & Ale, Marie's Kozy Corner Wings on Wheels, Foxy's Funnell, and Five Flavors Water Ice & Ice Cream Truck. This is a family-friendly event. The gate opens at 6 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets and enjoy the show.

Langhorne Borough Holding Annual Car Show Saturday

This Saturday is The Langhorne Borough Annual Car Show in the streets of lovely Langhorne Borough. It’s $20 to participate (paid at the gate) and free to come and enjoy as a spectator. There will be live music all day by The Mojo Gypsies, food from Jay's Steak and Hoagie Joint, The Langhorne Hotel, KC Funnel Cakes, Alfonso’s Water Ice, and tons of great cars. Gates open for participants at 1:30 p.m. on South Bellevue Avenue and awards are announced at 6:30 p.m.

Doylestown To 'Band Together For A Cause'

Three Doylestown neighbors, whose nonprofit missions also hit close to home, will host "Band Together For A Cause" at Puck Live on Saturday. Heather Reynolds and Shana Trichon of the Stand Up For Justice Educator Fund and Joe Montone of Stage United are joining forces with three local bands to make a difference in the Central Bucks education system as well as the live music landscape.
