From parades, light shows and festivals, Bucks County is getting into the holiday spirit this weekend.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —It's the holiday season.

With Thanksgiving less than a week away and Christmas right around the corner, Bucks County will be basking in the glow of the holiday spirit over the next month with light shows, parades, and appearances by Santa Claus before life gets crazy at the North Pole.

Two major Bucks County spots will launch light shows and illuminations this weekend while several other towns will hold holiday parades. There's even a festival of trees.

So before you cook that turkey and begin your holiday shopping, check out some of these cool —and maybe even cool temperature-wise as we enter late November —events.

"Illumination." It's a great word and you can see "millions of dazzling lights as Shady Brook Farm promises with its annual holiday light show that begins Saturday, Meanwhile, Peddler's Village is right up there too with its 'illumination" of holiday lights.

Welcome to Peddler's Village Grand Illumination

Peddler's Village will soon be illuminated every night by a million festive, colorful lights. The Holiday Kickoff Weekend starts Friday with a special lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. hosted by Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and musical artists Martin & Kelly. Sesame Place Celebrates "A Very Furry Christmas"

Sesame Place is ready for the holidays. The Middletown Township amusement park kicks off its "A Very Furry Christmas" Friday with a celebration of all-new holiday experiences devoted to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Eve and Day. Sesame Place Philadelphia will transform into a sparkling Christmas wonderland with millions of twinkling lights, family-friendly attractions, and holly jolly fun. Bristol Township Holds Holiday Parade Saturday

Bristol Township's annual holiday parade begins at noon on Saturday with a parade route that begins at Brookwood Elementary School on Haines Road and ends at Millcreek Elementary School on Mill Creek Road. The parade features participants such as the police and fire departments and also local organizations and schools. Santa Claus is also expected to make an appearance. Festival of Trees at the Pearl S. Buck House

Each year during the Annual Festival of Trees, the rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse come alive with the glow of holiday decorations. Visit Bucks County said the event showcases beautiful trees and vignettes designed by Bucks County’s best artists, decorators, and local community groups to convey the spirit of Pearl S. Buck’s legacy as an author, and activist. The event is held at the Pearl S. Buck House is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The cost is $18 for adults. Reservations are requested.

Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show Opens Saturday
