Bucks County SPCA Selects New Executive Director
Linda Reider comes to the BCSPCA most recently from 10 years with the Michigan Humane Society.

After a nationwide search, the Bucks County SPCA’s Board of Directors has selected Linda Reider as the organization’s new executive director.
Reider comes to the BCSPCA most recently from 10 years with the Michigan Humane Society, where she was the Director of Statewide Initiatives.
“We could not be happier to have Linda join our team” said Eric Tobin, Board President. “Her passion, dedication and experience have earned her a well deserved national reputation as a leader in the field of animal welfare.”

Reider has spent the past 30 years working nationally, regionally, and locally in animal welfare.
“I am eager to get to know my new community and bring new ideas to the animals and people of Bucks County” said Reider. “It is an exciting time in animal welfare, with many innovative programs being developed and implemented. We are looking outside our shelter walls to see how we can help animals stay in their homes, save more animal lives, and support people and their pets in times of trouble. I’m a strong believer in working with other agencies and organizations to achieve common goals and broaden our touch.”

Reider invites the community to share their thoughts with her in the days ahead.
“Call the shelter and make an appointment to come see me - I’ll be working in both our Lahaska and Quakertown animal care centers.” Community members are also invited to take a brief online survey that can be found at www.bcspca.org/linda-reider/.
“I also hope to have the chance to meet as many people as possible at our Old Friends and New Party at Aldie Mansion on November 13. It will be a celebration of past Executive Director Anne Irwin’s 44 years of service and a great party that will raise needed funds to move forward in some important areas for the animals in Bucks County.”
