Centennial School Board Launches Superintendent Search
The Centennial School Board has begun its process to replace Schools Superintendent Dana Bedden.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District has launched its search for its next leader to replace Schools Superintendent Dana T. Bedden.
The Centennial School Board voted at its Jan. 14 meeting to use the Bucks County Intermediate to conduct the search at no cost to taxpayers in Warminster and Upper Southampton townships, School Board President Mary Alice Brancato told Patch.
Brancato said that BCIU does almost all of the schools superintendent searches in Bucks County.

"They do a fair and thorough job," Brancato said.
She said the cost is free while some searches can cost up to $8,000, adding that the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and other firms charge far more.

Brancato said the school district will only pay to advertise the superintendent search and that the BCIU team does "an amazing job."
Bedden recently informed the school community that he wouldn't seek renewal of its five-year contract once it expires in June.
In a 5-4 vote, the Centennial School Board voted at its Nov. 26 meeting to recognize Bedden's letter.
In his decision, Bedden stated that he was "deeply proud of what we have achieved together."
He noted implementing new academic programs which have resulted in the district meeting or exceeding for the first time in over a decade 100 percent of the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System performance targets, achieving Moody's Aa2 General Obligation Bond Rating, surpassing the national and the median rating for Pennsylvania K-12 districts.
