Knife Fight, Catalytic Converter Thefts Top Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department Wednesday released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past month.

WARMINSTER, PA —Catalytic converter thefts, a knife fight, and students fighting in a cafeteria were among some of the recent criminal incidents investigated by police over the past month.

The Warminster Township Police Department Wednesday released its blotter of criminal incidents for the period of May 21 to June 10.

Theft by Unlawful Taking and Related Offenses Arrest —Officers investigated a possible theft of a vehicle by known subjects from a residence on Worthington Drive. After investigating a 19-year-old male from Abington and a 15-year-old female from Warminster were charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Conspiracy, and Criminal Mischief. The male was picked up on our warrant and arraigned in front of the on-call District Justice. Bail was set at $2,500 unsecured.

Defiant Trespass —Police responded to an Elm Street address for a disturbance. After investigating, the officer cited two subjects, a 67-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man —listed as residing in Missouri —who were involved in the incident with defiant trespass.

Drug Possession Arrest —While on patrol, an officer came across a suspicious occupied vehicle that was found in Warminster Community Park after hours. Upon approaching the vehicle and making contact with the operator, a 54-year-old man with a last known address out of New York, the officer observed suspected drugs/drug paraphernalia (Crystal Meth). The man was arrested for the drugs.

Simple Assault and Related Offenses Arrest —Police investigated a report of threats by a known subject at a local restaurant located on the 200 block of West Street Road. Police found there was an argument between two employees that escalated, resulting in one man chasing another man with a knife or pointed object. Police charged a 29-year-old man with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Related Offenses Arrest —Police responded to the Learning Academy on Louis Drive for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was reported two students were previously engaged in a fight in the cafeteria. Upon staff attempting to break up the fight, a staff member was struck by one of the individuals. Police arrested a 15-year-old Bristol teenager for aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Burglary and Related Offenses Arrest —Police investigated a report of an incident at a Davisville Road home by a known subject. After investigating, a 35-year-old Mount Carmel woman was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and interference with child custody.

Bad Checks Arrest —Police investigated a report of possible fraud/bad checks at the Costco Store. After investigating, a 40-year-old Bensalem woman was charged with passing the bad checks.

Protection from Abuse Court Order Violation Arrest —Police investigated a report of an incident at a residence on Davisville Road by a known subject. After investigating, a 35-year-old Mount Carmel woman was charged with violating a valid protection order issued by the court.

Public Drunkenness — Police responded to a local condo/apartment complex located on W. Street Road for the report of a male outside causing a disturbance. The male was found to be intoxicated. The 61-year-old Warminster man was cited for Public Drunkenness.

Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Drug/Paraphernalia, False Identification to Law Enforcement Arrest —Police responded to investigate a suspicious male subject who was approaching other vehicles attempting to sell them. After investigating the incident, Police arrested a 35-year-old man with receiving stolen property, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and false identification to law enforcement.

Assault, Strangulation and Related Offenses Arrest —Police responded to a residence on Newtown Road for a disturbance. Upon investigating, officers found an altercation had occurred. A 48-year-old Warminster man was charged with simple assault, strangulation, unlawful restraint, and harassment.

Drug Possession, Paraphernalia Possession Arrest —An officer stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the area of Street and Davisville roads, upon speaking with the operator the officer observed suspected drugs. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and failing to provide registration for the vehicle.

Indecent Assault, Public Drunkenness and Related Offenses Arrest —Police were dispatched to a grocery store on Street Road for a report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon investigating and speaking to parties on the scene it was determined a 47-year-old Warminster man had allegedly inappropriately grabbed a woman as she was walking in front of the store. While police were on the scene, it was found the male was intoxicated. He was charged with indecent assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness for his actions.

Theft by Unlawful Taking and Related Offenses Arrest —Officers investigated a theft of packages from a business, Police charged a 46-year-old Quakertown woman with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Disorderly Conduct —Police were dispatched to a residence on Dick Avenue for the report of a disturbance. After investigation, a 70-year-old Warminster man was cited for disorderly conduct for his actions.

Possession of Altered Vehicle Title and Related Offenses —While monitoring traffic in the area of Street and Lowell roads, an officer found that a vehicle that had a Delaware temporary registration plate on it was not the same vehicle the tag was assigned to. After stopping the vehicle and investigating, the operator was charged with possession of an altered vehicle registration plate and affixing the registration to the wrong vehicle.

Theft of Catalytic Converters —On May 29, officers responded to the SEPTA train station and took the report of several catalytic converters that were stolen from buses that had been in a locked storage yard on the property. The theft occurred sometime over the last six months.

Theft of Electric Bike —Police were dispatched to an apartment/Condo Complex on Street Road for the report of a theft of an Electric Bike. The bike was located on the porch of the residence and is valued at about $400.

Theft from Vehicle —Police responded to an apartment/condo complex on the 600 block of East Street Road for a reported theft from vehicle. It appears sometime on or about June 4, the parked vehicle was entered and gone through. Some small items were taken. No signs of forced entry on the vehicle.

It appears sometime during the overnight hours of June 4, the parked unlocked vehicle was entered and gone through. Some items were taken to include a backpack and a laptop computer. The value of the theft was about $1,500.
