BUCKS COUNTY, PA —In the course of your lifetime, you've probably been to Georgine's.

The landmark Bucks County restaurant is up for sale as its owner plans to retire. But the West Bristol establishment will continue under new ownership with no plans to close.

While one establishment may be changing hands, others are trying to establish themselves and build a customer base in Bucks County.

Playa Bowls has opened a new franchise on Street Road. The chain —which has operated for nine years and has more than 200 stores nationwide —is known for its acai, pitaya, coconut bowls, and smoothies. New Cafe Brings Vietnamese Summer Rolls To Doylestown

A new cafe specializing in Vietnamese summer rolls, sandwiches, and bowls has opened its doors in Plumstead Township. Nikki and Danny Truong of Hatfield are the owners of TeaVa Rolls, which celebrated its opening in March at 812 Easton Road next to Concord Pet Food and Supplies. The new cafe specializes in Vietnamese Summer Rolls, a popular finger food in the Vietnamese culture sold on the street and in the country's upscale restaurants. Landmark Lower Bucks Co. Restaurant For Sale

Georgine's, a landmark family-owned Bristol Township restaurant since 1977, has been put up for sale. The property at 1320 Newport Road in the township's West Bristol section was recently listed for sale at $3.8 million. The restaurant was founded in 1977 by brothers Roy and Michael Nagle and named after their mother Georgine. It started as a small neighborhood bar. Giant Gives $90K To Fight Food Insecurity At Bucks County Schools

Lower Bucks County School districts are receiving more than $100,000 to fight student food insecurity. The GIANT Company announced this week that its Feeding School Kids initiative, in partnership with its customers, raised more than $1.5 million to combat hunger throughout local public school districts in the communities it serves. Alto's Holding Gelato Fundraiser For Cancer Student

Alto Bakery & Caffè in Warminster will hold a fundraiser on Saturday for a student stricken by cancer. The new Street Road bakery will host a gelato fundraiser to support Lorenzo, a student of Nativity of Our Lord School, who is fighting a courageous battle against cancer, the eatery said. Mill Race Inn Redevelopment Moves Forward In Northampton Twp.

The latest plan to breathe new life into the dilapidated Mill Race Inn located in the heart of Holland took a step forward Tuesday night. The Northampton Township’s planning commission voted 4 to 0 with one abstention to recommend approval of a preliminary/final plan with conditions to redevelop the Buck Road site with a 55 and older residential condominium complex overlooking Mill Creek.
