Lower Bucks Man Gets Life In Prison For Killing Estranged Wife

The Trevose man meticulously planned the killing, taking Ubers to and from her home and destroying her security camera footage, police said.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A man who broke into his ex-wife's Montgomery County home and killed her has been sentenced to life in prison, court documents show.

Kenneth Shea, 37, of Feasterville-Trevose, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder after stabbing his 57-year-old wife Elizabeth Shea to death.

NBC 10 reports that Kenneth Shea did not want to put the family through a trial. There is no possibility of parole.

The incident occurred on April 10 on the 1000 block of Cromwell Lane in Wyndmoor.

Investigators found that Shea meticulously planned the killing and the ensuing cover-up.

The victim was found by Springfield Township Police, who responded to a residence in the 1,000 block of Cromwell Lane for a requested wellness check.

Police found Elizabeth Shea dead on the master bedroom floor, with obvious cut wounds to her head and neck.

Kenneth Shea took an Uber from the Comfort Inn in Feasterville-Trevose at around 12:36 a.m., and was dropped off near his wife's home at 12:55 a.m., police said.

He pushed the air conditioning unit inside the home in order to break in, investigators said. He stabbed his wife multiple times, according to police.

While inside, he removed four hard drives from the home’s digital recording units, and dumped them in the bathroom sink and toilet, police said. He also dropped three cell phones in the toilet.

An Uber picked him up again at 3:37 a.m. and returned him to the hotel by 3:58 a.m.

Bensalem SWAT officers tracked Kenneth down to Room 314 of the Comfort Inn and took him into custody as he left the room.
