Mary Barness Tennis and Swim Club Throws an 80th Birthday Party

Years of Summer Fun Celebrated with Music, Games and Cupcakes!

Mary Barness Tennis and Swim Club in Warrington recently celebrated 80 years of providing family-friendly fun with a big party. Members of the community were invited to enjoy a day of celebration including a DJ spinning lively tunes, games for kids, and refreshments courtesy of Cool Eats.

The Mary Barness Tennis and Swim Club has been the place for Warrington Township residents to swim, play tennis and have fun during the summer for the past eight decades. Amenities include three pools, tennis, basketball and shuffleboard courts, as well as a spot for beach volleyball.

“There was a great turnout on Sunday July 28, 2019 for the 80th Anniversary celebration at the Mary Barness Tennis and Swim Club, with presentations from Congressman Fitzpatrick, a proclamation from State Representative Polinchock and support from our Board of Supervisors to recognize this exciting milestone,” said Andrew Oles, Warrington’s Parks and Recreation Director. “Members and guests were treated to music, activities, and cupcakes to celebrate the day. With great weather, a good time was had by all.”
