McAlister's Deli, 2nd Wegmans Opens: Bucks County Business Brief

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Some sweet business news happened earlier this week in Bucks County.

Bensalem Township-based Rita's Italian Ice handed out more than 1 million free Italian Ice in the Philadelphia region to celebrate the first day of spring on Tuesday.

But don't fret if you didn't get the tasty treat. Most of Rita's locations are open now throughout Bucks County.

While Rita's was celebrating spring, Wegmans was celebrating the opening of its second supermarket in Bucks County. This one opened Wednesday in Lower Makefield Township. Another one is located in Warrington.

And after an announcement more than a year ago, McAlister's Deli officially opened its doors at Warrington Crossing on Easton Road last Monday.

McAlister's Deli Holds Grand Opening In Warrington

McAlister's Deli officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Warrington Crossing on Easton Road on March 11, giving out "Free Tea For A Year" to its first 100 customers. Known for its genuine hospitality, McAlister’s Deli is home to handcrafted sandwiches, fresh salads, giant spuds, and McAlister’s Deli Famous Sweet Tea. (Read this story for more details.)

Bob Evans Restaurant Closes Doors In Bensalem

The longtime family-style restaurant recently closed at its Bristol Pike location across from the Woodhaven Mall, ending its presence in the Philadelphia region. Bob Evans has a location in Oaks and another in Lancaster. There's also a Bob Evans in Mount Laurel, N.J., and several in Delaware.(Read this Patch story for more details.)

Duck Donuts Opens At Shops At Valley Square

Pennsylvania-based Duck Donuts, known for its "warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts," celebrated the grand opening of its newest store at the Shops at Valley Square on March 16. The 1,292-square-foot retail shop reflects the franchise's iconic beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere with indoor seating. (Read this Patch story for more details.)

J. Crew Factory To Open Store In Warrington
