WARMINSTER, PA —While one long-time Street Road eatery remains closed, another is expected to get a new lease on life shortly. Meanwhile, Arby's may be getting ready to begin construction as well.

After being closed since the start of the year, Mike's York Street Bar and Grill has been sold and will be under new ownership, Township Zoning Officer Mike Italia said.

Italia said the new owner has begun the cleanout process of the eatery at the corner of York and Street roads with the township recently issuing a permit for an alteration to the bar area.

The eatery's last Facebook post was on Jan. 11 when it was promoting drink and food specials with the NFL playoffs starting.

Italia said he believed that the new owner was getting a liquor license transfer and that there was a Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board sticker on its door.

He said the new owner may be targeting a reopening sometime this fall once upgrades are made.

"We are looking forward to having them back open and serving the community as soon as possible," Italia said.

Meanwhile, Italia said there is no new activity for Dino's Pizzeria.

After reopening in April under new ownership, the popular eatery closed once again for the second time this year in late June.

Dino's Pizza displayed a Patch award inside its 610 Street Rd. eatery that it received in July 2018.

Over the past year, Warminster has seen several eateries and a bakery open with a fast-food chain coming as well. Meanwhile, Bucks Hoagie Shop recently opened in the Warminster Plaza on York Road.

There has been some movement on Arby's, Italia said.

"We are just waiting on some final plans from the developer and they will be underway shortly," Italia said.

In early February, township officials announced that Arby's would be bringing its famous roast beef sandwiches to Warminster.

Supervisors then unanimously approved preliminary and final land development plans for Trident QSR Warminster LLC to build an Arby's restaurant on West Street Road.

Arby's will be located in the old Saladworks in front of the Giant Food Store at Center Point Place.

Arby's —whose slogan is "We Have the Meats!"—is a fast-food sandwich chain with more than 3,300 restaurants across the country. It was founded in 1964 and is famous for its roast beef sandwiches.

An Arby's is located on East Street Road in Feasterville. There's also an Arby's in the Levittown Town Center on the Levittown Parkway.
