Swastika Graffiti Found On Navy Grounds In Warminster

The township manager in Warminster called the graffiti a "cowardly act," citing the recent deadly shootings in Pittsburgh.

WARMINSTER, PA — Days after the deadly shooting that took the lives of 11 worshipers at a Pittsburgh synagogue, someone has painted graffiti including a Nazi swastika in Warminster. Officials in the township say they're working to get the graffiti removed from U.S. Navy property.

On Facebook, Township Manager Gregg Schuster wrote that officials are aware of the graffiti, in Shenandoah Woods. He said that, since it's on Navy property, township crews don't have the legal right to clean it up.

"We have been in contact with the Navy about removing it as soon as possible," Schuster wrote Tuesday afternoon.

"The use of the swastika is a cowardly act. In light of what our neighbors in Pittsburgh recently went through, I hope we refrain from using these symbols of hate. There is no place in Warminster for this disgusting act and I know our community will never accept this behavior."

Schuster asked that anyone with information about who may have painted the graffiti contact Warminster Township Police.
