WARMINSTER, PA —The last sips of sweet lemonade may still be lingering. But Savannah Zeaman is already preparing for a "bigger and better" fundraiser next year.

The William Tennent High School 11th grader reported that her 9th annual fundraiser—which serves as a tribute to a late teacher —has raised $3,835 and counting for cancer research.

"So I needed some time to recuperate and process everything," Zeaman posted on her lemonade stand's Facebook about Saturday's fundraiser. "It was a huge success. I can't thank everyone enough who came out and supported me."

Zeaman said she still needs to tally up a check for clothing donations. She had a goal of $4,000 this year and the clothing donations might put her over the top.

She has run the fundraiser since 2nd grade with all proceeds are donated to CHOP Cancer Research. Click here to donate. The fundraiser honors her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Shelmier, who passed away from cancer one year after Zeaman was in her class.

Zeaman thanked people who bought raffles, donated items and money, those who loaded up the clothing donation truck, a friend who helped bake 12 dozen cookies, her coaches and teammates, her grandparents and her parents Jeff and Lori for their support.

"The love that I feel and the support that I feel is incredible," she said. "I truly believe together we can make a difference. We can help Children's Hospital of Philadelphia find a cure for cancer and the world will be a better, happier, more wonderful place."

Overall, the 16-year-old has raised over $18,000 since the project started.

"I am truly proud of how we come together as a community every year for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Here are some pictures of this incredible event," she said. "Thank you to everyone who helps makes Savannah's Lemonade Stand possible year after year! I can't wait until next year."
