We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Cars speed and go through the red light at Centennial and Street Roads. Dangerous intersection."
  • "The intersection at County Line and Jacksonville Road. 18 wheelers can't make the turn without forcing the turn lane cars back"
  • "Valley and Street Rd Intersection. I live right there and witness 1-2 accidents a week in the summer."
  • "People drive way too fast on County Line. I go the speed limit which is 45 mph, and I have people blowing by me which mean they're doing 55-65 mph."
  • "The polluted water caused by NADC dumpings"
  • "The lack of enforcement in school zones and at school bus stops"
  • "Lemon has been an issue for 25 years. Asked for a stop sign at lemon and Norwood to slow traffic."
  • "Trying to get out of McDonald Elementary School because no one wants to go the school zone speed limit 15mph! Getting beeped at and sped up to and cursed out."
  • "Pedestrians crossing Street Road, especially at night. They just stand in the middle of the road like they're entitled to be there and traffic will magically stop so they can cross!"
  • "Corrupt police and nobody wanting to address the issue"
