Warminster Woman Charged With Vehicular Homicide​ For Crash That Killed 2

A Warminster woman has been charged with vehicular homicide​ for a crash that killed a woman and her 7-year-old granddaughter on Jan. 3.

A 32-year-old Warminster woman has been charged in connection with a fatal accident that happened earlier this month in Lehigh County.

Maria Eiseman is charged with vehicular homicide for a crash that killed a woman and her 7-year-old granddaughter and injured two other children, according to a report in the Morning Call. The report said Eiseman allegedly ran a red light, causing the crash.

Eiseman has been charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and six counts of recklessly endangering another person.

According to LehighValleyLive.com, the crash happened on Jan. 3 around 10:30 p.m. Eiseman's Ford Fiesta crashed into an Infiniti driven by Christina Watkins-Rivera, 47. Watkins-Rivera had her three grandchildren in the car. Two of the grandchildren were injured and one died in the crash.

A Warminster woman is charged in Lehigh County with a vehicular homicide Jan. 3 in Allentown that killed a woman and her 7-year-old granddaughter.
Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said authorities charged Maria Eiseman, 32, of the 300 block of Newtown Road in Warminster, with two counts each of homicide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter, among other offenses.

Warminster police took Eiseman into custody Thursday and she was arraigned and held in the Bucks County prison. She'll be taken to Lehigh County sometime today.
Eiseman was driving north on South Fourth Street in Allentown about 10:40 p.m. Jan. 3 when she did not stop for the red light at the intersection with Susquehanna Street, the district attorney's office said in its statement. Her Ford Fiesta struck an Infiniti sedan traveling westbound on Susquehanna and driven by Christina Watkins-Rivera, 47, of Allentown. Rivera’s three grandchildren were in the car.

Watkins-Rivera and a granddaughter, Yartezi Ramos, 7, were killed in the crash. They were pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem. Rivera’s two other grandchildren, ages 7 and 8, suffered injuries and were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. They have since been discharged, the district attorney's office said.
Eiseman was injured and released from St. Luke’s-Bethlehem.
Additionally, Eiseman is charged with six counts of reckless endangerment and one count each of reckless driving, careless driving, failing to obey a traffic control device and driving at an unsafe speed.
