Weapon On School Property, DUIs Top Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department released its police blotter of recent criminal incidents.

WARMINSTER, PA —A weapon was found on school property. And police handled six cases that involved either public drunkenness or driving under the influence.

Those were among the criminal incidents the Warminster Township Police Department released in its police blotter for the period of Jan. 30 to Feb. 12.

Simple Assault and Related Offenses —On Jan. 30, police were dispatched to a disturbance located on the 1500 block of West Street Road. After investigating, a 61-year-old Warminster man was arrested and charged with simple assault and related offenses.

Disorderly Conduct —On Jan. 30, at 2:50 p.m., police investigated a report of a fight between a group of subjects in the area of Tall Oaks Drive and Rowan Street. After investigating, a 14-year-old and 15-year-old, both from Warminster, were cited for their alleged involvement in the incident.

Weapons on School Property —After receiving a call from school staff and investigating, a 15-year-old from Warminster was charged with bringing a pocket knife onto school property. The pocket knife was not used to threaten anyone.

Disorderly Conduct —On Feb. 2, at 1:13 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of West Street Road for a disturbance. After investigating, police cited a 59-year-old Philadelphia man for disorderly conduct for urinating in public.

Driving Under the Influence —Police completed an accident investigation that occurred at the intersection of Street and York roads. After investigating, a 42-year-old Warrington man was charged with Driving Under the Influence.

Defiant Trespass —On Feb. 5, at 10:29 p.m., police responded to a local apartment complex located on the 100 block of East Street Road for a complaint. After investigating, police cited a 20-year-old Perkasie man with defiant trespass.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 5, at 12:17 a.m., police responded to the area of Evergreen Avenue and Lemon Street to check on the well-being of a man. Upon making contact, the man was found to be heavily intoxicated. The 49-year-old Warminster man was cited for public drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence — On Feb. 5, at 4:49 a.m., police responded to a vehicle that went into the wooded area near Five Ponds Golf Course. After investigating, the 64-year-old driver from Gardenville was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving under the influence.

Driving Under the Influence —On Feb. 5t, at 9:38 p.m., police were on the scene of an unrelated traffic accident in the area of the 100 block of East Street Road. While officers were investigating the traffic crash and had the road temporarily blocked off to vehicle traffic, a vehicle drove around the police car that was blocking the roadway and struck a curb. Upon making contact with that driver and investigating further, a 76-year-old Philadelphia man was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving under the influence.

Retail Theft Arrest —After completing an investigation, police charged a 35-year-old Philadelphia woman with retail theft. The theft occurred at Walmart.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 12, at 1:21 a.m., police responded to the area of Street Road and St David’s Avenue for an unwanted subject at the 7-11 convenience store. Upon investigating, a 29-year-old Warminster man was found to be intoxicated. He was taken home and later cited for public drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 12, at 2:14 p.m., police responded to the area of the Giant Food Store for an unwanted possibly intoxicated subject inside the store. Upon investigating, the 35-year-old Hatboro man was found to be intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness.
