Weekend Weather Wiping Out Lower Bucks Co. Events

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —With another wet weekend in store, organizers are either canceling events planned in Lower Bucks County or moving them to Sunday.

Wet, windy weather is predicted to affect the region beginning on Saturday, and could last until midday Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Harvest Day in Yardley for Saturday has been canceled.

Some decisions on weekend events have already been made:

• Bensalem Township — Growden Day, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled. The event was being sponsored by Bensalem Township and The Historical Society of Bensalem at the Growden Mansion on Neshaminy Valley Drive.
• Bensalem Township —The Eddington Fire Company has canceled Saturday's fire prevention open house. A new date or time has not been announced.
• Bristol —The 10-Year Celebration Craft Festival at the Penelope Fox Studio in Bristol has been moved from Saturday to Sunday. It takes place from Noon to 4 p.m. at 10 Canal St. and features free art classes, craft vendors, food trucks, music, children's activities, and a student art show.
• Bristol Township —The township's annual fall festival has been postponed to Nov. 4.
• Middletown Township —The Middletown Township Fire Company is rescheduling its Annual Thrill Show to Saturday, Oct. 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Middletown Fire Company Station-50.
• Northampton Township —The Northampton Township Fire Department Fire Prevention Event scheduled for Saturday has been canceled due to weather. It will take place again next year.
• Upper Southampton Township —The parks and recreation department's Halloween Pumpkin Mash, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled.
• Warminster —The Hartville Fire Company's fire prevention open house on Saturday will be postponed to a later date.

• Saturday: Rain, mainly after 8am. High near 58. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
• Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
• Sunday: Rain likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
• Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
