• West Chester University Marks 25th Anniversary of 9/11 With Campus Tributes (mychesco.com) — West Chester University is hosting several free 9/11 remembrance events this week, including a public memorial ceremony Friday morning on the Academic Quad and a special Concert on the Quad that evening. The tributes honor alumnus and former Golden Rams quarterback Michael Horrocks, who died as co-pilot of United Flight 175, and culminate with a moment of silence, film tribute, and fireworks at Saturday's home football opener.

• Westtown School Starts $29 Million Dining Center Build (mychesco.com) — A major campus upgrade is underway just outside West Chester, as Westtown School builds a $29 million dining and community center to serve students and host gatherings. The project, part of a $62 million campaign, follows new athletic facilities and a large solar array that now supplies about 90 percent of the school's electricity, reflecting broader investment and sustainability trends in the area.
