LCCC, WB Area celebrate Angeline & Conrad Kotlowski scholarship endowment (timesleader.com) — Wilkes-Barre Area families now have a new path to college support through the Angeline & Conrad Kotlowski College-Ready Scholarship Endowment, celebrated this week at Wilkes-Barre Area High School. The fund will cover tuition and fees for eligible students in LCCC's College Ready Program, helping local teens earn credits, build skills, and ease the financial jump to higher education.
   

2. Raising epilepsy awareness with annual Walk for Epilepsy (2822news.com) — Community members just gathered at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre for the annual Walk for Epilepsy, raising awareness and funds for local families living with the condition. Supported by the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania, the event connects patients, caregivers, and neighbors so no one faces epilepsy alone in our region.
   

3. Students absorb 240 years of Luzerne County history (timesleader.com) — Hundreds of local students packed downtown Wilkes-Barre's F.M. Kirby Center to experience a multimedia celebration of Luzerne County's 240th anniversary, blending live orchestral music, dance, and historic images. With Wilkes-Barre landmarks like the county courthouse spotlighted, students and educators described the program as eye-opening, deepening pride in the area's rich history and culture.
   

4. 'A concrete sign of God's goodness' (timesleader.com) — King's College in Wilkes-Barre has transferred a first-class relic of St. Pius X to the Diocese of Scranton as the diocese reestablishes its Pius X Seminary. College president Rev. Thomas Looney says the relic, long kept in Wilkes-Barre chapels, now deepens ties between King's and the diocese in forming future church and community leaders.
   

5. HS ROUNDUP: Boyle's fourth-quarter score lifts Hazleton Area (citizensvoice.com) — Wilkes-Barre Area boys soccer dominated Valley View 7–0 at Wolfpack Stadium, with five different players finding the net in a nonleague rout. The roundup also highlights strong showings from Hazleton Area, Crestwood, Holy Redeemer, and other nearby schools in field hockey, soccer, and volleyball across the region.
