2nd Bucks Co. Wegmans Nearing Completion
Wegmans is expected to open its second supermarket in Bucks County in March. Construction is in the final stages.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —In less than three months, Bucks County's second Wegmans supermarket is expected to open.
From the looks of the picture provided to Patch, the store's exterior has made great strides toward its March 20 opening date.
While work continues to add retail stores around the Wegmans, which is part of the Prickett Preserve project, the store's grounds are nearly complete with lighting fixtures and landscaping having been added, and the sidewalk and parking lot finished.

Marcie Rivera, who is coordinating public relations for the store, told Patch Tuesday that the project on Stony Run Road is nearing the point where it will be handed off.
Patch was the first media in the Philadelphia region to get a sneak peek at a tour of the new building in November.

Rivera said that construction is still on track to turn the store over to the operations team on Jan. 22
While Bucks County boasts a Wegmans in Warrington Township, this second store will serve as a retail crown jewel for Lower Bucks County, one of 17 Wegmans in the Pennsylvania/Delaware region and among 110 stores overall.
The 88,000-square-foot store is a little bigger than some of the others Wegmans has built over the years, at least 7,000 square feet bigger than the one in Wilmington, DE.
The store will employ 415 people, 155 of which will be full-time workers and 260 part-timers.
The Wegmans is the centerpiece of the Prickett Preserve development, which includes nine multi-family buildings containing 200 apartment units plus a clubhouse with a pool, and seven commercial buildings totaling 52,000 square feet.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill will be opening its first Bucks County location there as well.
Meanwhile, an existing historic farmhouse and barn on the property will be preserved and repurposed.
Plans were approved for the project by DeLuca Homes in April 2021.
