Be Aware Of New Traffic Signals At Scudder Falls Bridge Project

Next time you're in the area of the Scudder Falls Bridge project, be aware that there are some changes to traffic signals and ramps.

Work on the new Scudder Falls Bridge project is prompting some changes in traffic signals and ramp configurations, according to authorities. Lower Makefield Police said two new sets of signals at Taylorsville and I-295 that were put on flash this week will be set for normal operation on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

"As the new ramps are not completed yet, a combination of existing ramps and some temporary ramps will handle the traffic for westbound I-295 (SB I-95) exiting at Taylorsville Rd," police said in an announcement.

Previously, traffic heading north on Taylorsville Road towards New Hope had their own separate exit. But that now changes.

"That traffic will now exit to the new signal the same as traffic intending to go south on Taylorsville Road towards Yardley," police explained. At that signal, traffic can either turn right or left to travel in their desired direction. There will be no difference for traffic northbound on Taylorsville Road, except for the traffic signal instead of the stop sign, police said.

"This ramp will be redesigned as the project moves forward," police said.

Any malfunctions with the new traffic signals should be reported to the Lower Makefield Township Police at 215-493-4011.
