Lanes Closing Near Scudder Falls Bridge Next Week
The planned opening of a roundabout on the New Jersey side has been postponed, but other work on the project continues.

YARDLEY, PA — Continuing work on the Scudder Falls Bridge replacement will bring lane closures on the Pennsylvania side next week.
Transportation officials said Thursday that the planned opening of a roundabout on the downstream side of the I-295/Rt. 29 interchange in New Jersey has been postponed. They're not yet sure when it will open, but overnight lane and ramp closures that were planned in the area for this weekend have been canceled.
Meanwhile, here are next week's lane closures and other travel impacts of the work set for next week:

- I-295 eastbound and westbound near the Scudder Falls Bridge will experience intermittent periods of only single-lane travel on Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.
- Taylorsville Road north of I-295 also will have intermittent single-lane travel from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.
- South of I-295, single lane patterns on Taylorsville Road will be happening from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. those days.
- On Woodside Road, west of Taylorsville Road to near Clearview Drive, will have right or left-lane closures from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.
Similar lane closures on and around I-295 on the New Jersey side will be happening next week as well.
No travel restrictions related to the work are planned for this weekend.

During the nighttime hours next week, crews will be doing sewer line installation along Taylorsville Road, demolition of the approach bridge across Rt. 175/River Road and the Delaware and Raritan Canal on the New Jersey side and other work.
