North Main Street In Yardley Closed For Downed Tree

Yardley Borough Police are advising motorists to seek an alternative route since a stretch of the road closed Wednesday afternoon.

YARDLEY, PA —The Yardley Borough Police Department is warning residents to avoid a popular road Wednesday afternoon due to a downed tree.

Yardley Borough Police posted on Facebook that North Main Street is closed.

Police said that due to a large tree down in the area of the Friends Meeting House, North Main Street will be closed between Cold Spring and Afton Avenue.

Police are asking motorists to use another route and follow the instructions of the traffic officers until the tree is removed from the road.

Police also said that residents in the area of North Main Street may experience power outages while the fallen tree is addressed.
