River Road To Close For Scudder Bridge Demolition
The daytime, weekday closures are expected to last about two weeks, according to township officials.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — River Road in Lower Makefield Township will be shut down during daylight hours starting next week for the demolition of the old Scudder Falls Bridge.
The closures will begin Monday, Sept. 9. They'll be daily on weekdays from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
In a social media post, township officials said the closures are expected to last for about two weeks.

During that time, River Road will be closed to traffic on either side of the bridge construction. Local traffic will be allowed north on River Road/Delaware Avenue from Afton Avenue to the construction site.
During the closures, the detour will be River Road (Delaware Avenue) to Afton Avenue to North Main Street/Taylorsville Road to Woodside Road.
