River Road At Scudder Falls Bridge To Close Friday
The closure was originally scheduled to start Friday, but flaggers will be stopping traffic for brief periods instead until Friday.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — River Road beneath the Scudder Falls Bridge will be closed starting Friday as crews work on the bridge.
The closure was originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday. But the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said on its website that Rt. 32/River Road will be open to traffic, with occasional stoppages controlled by flaggers, on Wednesday and Thursday instead.
Those stoppages will be happening from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. both days.

The new start date for the closure and detour is Friday and it will be in effect during those same hours. It is expected to last, on weekdays, through Oct. 12.
Detours for river Road will involve East Afton Avenue/Rt. 332, Mt. Eyre Road, Woodside Road and Taylorsville Road. River Road will remain accessible to residents who live there the whole time, the commission said. Click here to take a look at the detour map.
