At its reorganization meeting Tuesday, Ross was sworn into a six-year term as a supervisor.

“We look forward to working with Supervisor Ross as we collectively work to make 2024 and beyond a success," Supervisors Chairman John Lewis said following Ross’ swearing-in ceremony. “We are truly fortunate to have Matt on the Board of Supervisors and we are hopeful that Matt’s past service on Yardley Borough Council can help strengthen our relationship with the Borough for the benefit of both Lower Makefield Township and the region as a whole.”

Ross volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and was previously recognized as Big Brother of the Year by the organization.

“I’m honored to be given the opportunity to serve my community by being elected to the Board of Supervisors and look forward to working collaboratively and cooperatively with my fellow Supervisors, Township staff, and volunteers to sustain Lower Makefield Township as a great place to live, work, and play,” Ross said.

Ross fills the council seat that was occupied by Supervisor Colin Coyle on an interim basis. Coyle filled out the unexpired term of Council President Frederic Weiss, who resigned for personal reasons in mid-August after more than five years in two stints on the board.
