Scudder Falls Bridge Lane Closures Resume Wednesday
Also, weekday closings of the Delaware River towpath on the Pennsylvania side will resume next week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — With the holiday seasons coming to a close, lane closures related to the ongoing replacement of Scudder Falls Bridge are set to go back into effect.
A moratorium on lane closures ends at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 2, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.
Also, weekday, daytime closures of the Delaware Canal towpath on the Pennsylvania side of the Scudder Falls Bridge will resume Wednesday, Jan. 2, and continue through Wednesday, Jan. 23. The canal towpath is expected to remain open for public use on weekends.

Until Wednesday, drivers in the area will continue to see only limited lane closures. Here's a look at the full list of closures for the coming week.

- I-295 EB and WB in the vicinity of the Scudder Falls Bridge – Intermittent off-peak single-lane ravel patterns possible for construction along I-295 on the N.J. side of the Scudder Falls Bridge, noon Wednesday, Jan. 2, through Friday, Jan. 4.
- Taylorsville Road north of I-295– Intermittent single-lane patterns with possible flagger-controlled travel noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4.
- Taylorsville Road south of I-295 – Intermittent single-lane patterns with possible flagger-controlled travel noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4.
- Woodside Road – Right or left lane closures with passage maintained in each direction and/or flagging-controlled travel noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4.
- PA Route 32/River Road –Intermittent stoppages and alternating traffic controlled by flaggers noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 and Friday, Jan. 4.
New Jersey side:
- I-295 NB/WB (old I-95 SB) approaching the Scudder Falls Bridge Pennsylvania-bound – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2; and 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. (next day) Wednesday, Jan. 2 to Friday, Jan. 4.
- I-295 EB/SB (old I-95 NB) crossing the Scudder Falls Bridge into New Jersey – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns noon to 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Wednesday, Jan. 2; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4.
- Route 29 NB bypass – Overnight closure with detour through the interchange and roundabout 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Wednesday, Jan. 2, and Thursday, Jan. 3; AND 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5.
- Route 175/River Road – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel may be implemented approximately noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, and approximately 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4.
