YARDLEY, PA —They reminded him of San Francisco.

The City By The Bay has a row of historic, Victorian homes. They call them "Painted Ladies."

Across the coast, Josh Friedman finds that every now and then he sees houses that remind him of those "Painted Ladies."

"Sometimes the houses on West Afton Avenue, across the street from Lake Afton, make me think that in Yardley, we have our own version of the 'Painted Ladies,'" Friedman told Patch earlier this week.

He wanted to capture that image.

So with a fresh coat of snow, Friedman snapped this shot around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.
