Truck Traffic To Be Curbed In Yardley

YARDLEY, PA — Traffic signs have arrived in Yardley that, once installed, will reduce truck traffic on some of the borough's main thoroughfares.
The signs will limit through-traffic by tractor-trailers on Main Street and Afton Avenue.
State Rep. Perry Warren on Tuesday posted photos of the newly arrived signs on his Facebook page. More than 1,400 people signed a petition on Warren's website asking PennDOT to conduct a traffic study and ban through-traffic by trucks in the area.

PennDOT conducted the study and recommended turning restrictions to curb truck through-traffic in the area. In addition, Warren said, the agency will assess imposing further restrictions after the North Main Street sidewalk project is complete
