Troopers Chase Down Man Charged With Intending To Deliver Coke, Crack And Pot: Cops

The Providence man was also charged with conspiracy, possessing a stolen vehicle and other offenses, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — State troopers chased down a Providence man and arrested him on charges of intending to deliver cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana, police said.

Carlos Rodriguez, age 22, was also charged with eluding law enforcement in a vehicle — high speed pursuit, obstructing a police officer in the execution of duty, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, possession of a stolen vehicle, conspiracy and possession of more than $10,000 worth of stolen property outside the state, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Rodriguez was apprehended on Fillmore Street in Providence shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday following a motor vehicle pursuit, according to the release.

Rodriguez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held pending his arraignment, where he was to be presented as a bail and probation violator, the release said.
