Providence Woman Charged With Food Stamp Fraud: Cops
The Providence woman was also charged with obtaining more than $10,000 under false pretenses or personation, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was charged with food stamp fraud, police said.
Victoria Barclay, 53, was also charged with fraudulently obtaining assistance, obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation, and giving false documents to an agent, employee, or public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Barclay was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, according to the release.

Barclay surrendered at the Hope Valley Barracks and was arrested following a state police Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program investigation, the release said.
Barclay was processed at the barracks, arraigned and released with a court date, according to police.
