Man Wanted On Assault And Eluding Charges Fails To Elude Violent Fugitive Task Force: Cops
The Providence man was "taken into custody without incident," police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted on charges of assault and eluding failed to elude the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, police said.
Christopher De La Cruz, 20, was arrested by the task force Tuesday on a warrant charging him with assault, eluding and duty to stop for an accident resulting in personal injury, the state police said in a media release.
"Mr. De La Cruz was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Providence Police Department on scene," the release said.
