Rhode Island Workers Paid Pretty Well Compared To Rest Of Country: Report
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the private average hourly earnings for workers in each state.
Rhode Island workers are paid pretty well compared to workers around the country, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The total private average hourly earnings for a Rhode Island worker in December 2025 were $38.79, a Bureau of Labor Statistics report revealed.
That put the Ocean State 12th out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Massachusetts at $42.90 and Connecticut at $39.97 were higher, but Rhode Island was ahead of Maine's $33.34, New Hampshire's $35.73 and Vermont's $35.76.
