The weekly Barrington Farmers’ Market is hosting a free electronics recycling drop-off event from 9 am to noon.

There will be a $10 disposal charge for air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and mini-refrigerators, she said.

Do not drop off any type of light bulb or single use disposable batteries, mattresses or any hazardous materials, such as paint and firearms.

Indie Cycle, LLC, is the agent handling the unwanted electronics, said Browning. It has a zero landfill policy and it will not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices.

A flyer distributed to Browning says of Indie Cycle: “We are an authorized agent and a proud partner of Good Point Recycling, based in Middlebury, Vermont.”

For more information or if you have something too large to transport, see the Indie Cycle website or call 401-484-8838 to schedule a pickup.
