Designing with Woodies and Shrubs with Polly Hutchison of Robin Hollow Farm
To a floral designer, the expansion of design structure, variety, and seasonality to be found with shrubs can be breathtaking.
Japanese maples glow in a summer arrangement; pussy willows, pieris, and snowball viburnum pop in spring bouquets. Fall euonymus, ninebark, viburnum berries, or blueberry branches beautifully fill autumn vases. Join us for this fun, hands-on design demonstration in Blithewold’s Carriage House, where Polly Hutchison shows how to design with woody plants. Participants will create and take home an arrangement of their own.
Students are asked to bring a favorite vase or container to hold their arrangement.
