Fencing Academy Moves to East Providence

The Rhode Island Fencing Academy and Club (REFAC) is moving from its Warren location to Almeida Avenue in East Providence.

According to co-owner Jill Ripa, the academy opened its East Providence location at the end of February. But finishing touches, like the fencing floor, are in the midst of construction.

The academy is nationally recognized. Co-owner Alex Ripa has coached coached the Harvard University fencing team. Many of their students go on to complete at the Ivy League level.

"Thank you for your continued patience as we transition to our new home," reads a RIFAC notice.
