Garden Study Day with Noel Kingsbury

Workshop: "A Rabbit's Eye View: Reading the Plants for Garden Performance"

Workshop: “A Rabbit’s Eye View: Reading the Plants for Garden Performance”
October 16, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
9 a.m. Registration and Coffee in Mansion

Program will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
How long will plants survive? Will they spread? How will my new border look in five years? This workshop encourages participants to observe their garden and landscape plants, focusing on their growth throughout the year, as well as how the plants compete with each other; another part of the workshop is learning to assess prospects for plant longevity and suitability for a variety of garden locations. Designed for both gardeners and designers, the workshop’s aim is to get people thinking about how plants are linked to their natural habitats and ecology and how this connects to the way we use them in our gardens. Participants use “the rabbit’s eye view” to closely observe the growing habits and life cycles of garden plants. This view not only increases our ability to be good gardeners and designers but also expands our appreciation of the plants.

Cost for the day-long workshop is $90 member/$100 non-member and includes snacks and beverages, box lunch. The workshop is limited to 25 participants. Click here to register.
