Arrest Made In Central Falls Beauty Salon Slaying
A man was taken into custody at a Massachusetts motel, police said.
CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A man was arrested in connection with the killing of a woman at a Central Falls beauty salon.

Lawrence Beauvais, 66, was apprehended at an Attleboro, Massachusetts, motel, the Central Falls Police Department said in a media release.

"Lawrence Beauvais will be extradited back to Rhode Island, where he will face charges of First-Degree Homicide and First-Degree Robbery," the release said.

Police also identified the woman found slain in Sue's Salon on Thursday.

Putali Kunwar, 50, was "found deceased as a result of an apparent act of violence" in the Hunt Street salon, police said in the release.
