Woman Found Slain In Central Falls Beauty Salon

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A woman was found slain in a Central Falls beauty salon, police said.

The woman was found unresponsive at Sue's Salon on Hunt Street, police said Thursday.

"Based on the findings of the preliminary investigation, this incident is now being investigated as a homicide," the police department said in a media release. "Detectives continue t o work diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding this case."

While the woman's killer apparently remains at large, police said there was "no indication of any active threat t o the public.

"We are asking anyone who may have information, surveillance footage, or who was in the area at the time o f the incident t o contact the Central Falls Police Department at 401-727-7411," the release said. "Community cooperation is vital and can play a significant role in advancing this investigation."
