Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, watch for overwash and tree damage, and be prepared for scattered power outages and flooded low-lying roads as the storm coincides with high tides and a full moon.

• Rhode Island rural health projects take shape with $156M federal award • Rhode Island Current (rhodeislandcurrent.com) — Charlestown is one of 18 Rhode Island towns set to benefit from a $156 million federal Rural Health Transformation grant aimed at improving care in smaller communities. State officials are weighing options like mobile services, community-based care, and telehealth to expand access to primary, dental, behavioral, and maternal health, with spending decisions due by late October.
