Cal Ripken League Represented in Memorial Day Parade
Players, coaches and parents took part in the newly revived parade.
Dozens of players, coaches and parents from the Coventry Cal Ripken League represented their 13 teams while paying tribute to U.S. military personnel in the newly revived Coventry Memorial Day Parade on Monday morning.
Cal Ripken participants, donning their team uniforms and waving American flags, marched or rode on the league's float along the parade route which began at Our Lady of Czestochowa School on MacArthur Blvd. and concluded at VFW Post #9404 on South Main St.

The league took home second place in the parade's float contest, winning $100 for their patriot float that was brimming with red, white and blue decorations and balloons and American flags.
