Cal Ripken League Wraps Up Another Season
Players and family members participated in and hosted several events to help ensure a noteworthy year.

The Coventry Cal Ripken baseball league recently completed another successful season filled with fun, dedication and good sportsmanship. (The Coventry Patch Marlins won the Minor Division - Congratulations, team!)
Over the course of the season, the league participated and held several exciting events, such as Pawsox Night where players marched on the field at McCoy Stadium prior to the game. The league also hosted an adult Comedy Night that featured local professional comedians and parents and players proudly marched in the in May.

Players and family members from the league's 13 teams will wrap up the season by gathering on Sunday, July 22 from 3-6 p.m. at Club Jogues for their end-of-the-season outing. Players will be recognized at a trophy presentation, followed by games including a mother/player ragbag game, water balloons and more.
Some league members will continue playing ball throughout the summer as part of the Coventry RockCats 2012 8U Tournament Team that will compete in tournaments in Pawtucket and Dighton, MA.
