Coach, Parents Honor Undefeated Soccer Team With Pizza, Trophies

Coach Steve Rainone handed out trophies and brownies to celebrate the team's winning streak.

A Coventry Soccer Association's Girls U10 team turned in a remarkable season, vanquishing every opponent en route to a perfect 10-0 season.

The team, sponsored by Resendes Heating and A/C, celebrated its undefeated season with a trophy ceremony at Papa Gino's Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The CSA didn't supply the league with trophies this year, so the girls' parents chipped in to honor their accomplishment, said Coach Steve Rainone.
