LETTER: Coventry Cal Ripken Season Wrap-Up

Greetings everyone!

Well, our . Congrats to the Coventry Patch Marlins for defeating the Dodgers 2-1 in a best-of-three format to win the Minor Division crown. All games were decided by 1 run with two games won in the last at-bat!

I’d also like to offer a special thanks to everyone who played, volunteered or supported our league this year. I personally think it was a huge success and it’s by far the best season I’ve experienced in the five seasons my family has been with Coventry Cal Ripken. Although we ran our league without a major division and we were unsure of the impact of the , we were still able to offer great and memorable experiences off the field for the players and families, such as with , Comedy Night, marching in the Memorial Day Parade, and our upcoming year-end outing on Sunday, July 22^nd.

As for the year-end outing, it will be held from 3pm – 6pm at Club Jogues. Cost is only $5 per family with unlimited family members invited to attend! We will begin the day with trophy presentations in the upstairs hall and then head outside for fun and games. Events outside will feature a mother/player ragball game, water balloon games, and other fun activities!!!

Again, thanks for making this a great season, and we look forward to seeing you on July 22^nd.
