Coventry Cal Ripken Players Head to McCoy

Three players from the participated in the State Pitch, Hit and Run Competition held at McCoy Stadium on Saturday.

Jason Simon (9-10 age group), Tyler Simon and Jason Desjarlais (both 7-8 age group) each had won at the local level in order to qualify for the chance to participate at McCoy.

Jason Desjarlais finished 5th in the running event, 4th overall for his age group and took home the win in the hitting event. Tyler and Jason Simon both played fiercely as well, but fell slightly short of making the Top Five.

"Great job boys, you represented Coventry, and especially the families of Coventry Cal Ripken, very well and made us all proud!", reads a message to the players on the league's website, coventrycalripken.com.
