2 Brothers Killed In Cranston House Fire Identified By Police

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police on Thursday identified the two men who died in a February house fire on Whitewood Drive.

Jeremiah, 80, and Andrew Jeremiah, 86, died in a house fire at 35 Whitewood Drive on Feb. 24, Cranston police said. Police said the men were brothers who lived together.

Around 2:41 a.m., firefighters were called to the single-family home for a report of a fire. Police said when firefighters arrived, they found the home was fully engulfed in flames.

When fire crews entered the burning home, they found both victims' bodies.

Police said the cause of the fire and deaths remain under investigation, but it appears the fire was accidental. No foul play is suspected in the victims' deaths.
