Chapel Grille to Honor Shuttered Faial's Restaurant Gift Certificates

The abrupt closure of Faial Restaurant in Smithfield upset gift certificate holders, but Chapel Grille has stepped up to the plate.

Faial’’s Restaurant’s abrupt closure earlier this month left many disgruntled customers with what suddenly seemed like worthless gift certificates.

Now, a popular Cranston restaurant nestled in an historic stone church with stunning views of the metro Providence skyline, Chapel Grille, is offering those customers an opportunity to redeem those gift certificates.

“Chapel Grille is committed to Rhode Island and our patrons who hail from all 39 cities and towns, and when we saw so many people disappointed about the closing of Faial’s, we thought this would be an opportunity to help our fellow Rhode Islanders,” said Joe Barone, General Manager of Chapel Grille. “We offer a tremendous dining experience, great food and everyday value thorough our 7 Days of Savings, Hometown Advantage and Heavenly Rewards programs. It is our hope that when these gift card holders who may not have dined with us before, experience what we have to offer that they will come back to experience Chapel Grille again, and again.”

Chapel Grille has no business relationship with the former restaurant, so the announcement is purely an act of goodwill.

And it’s no secret that the restaurant is hoping to win a few new regular customers along the way.

Chapel Grille is offering to redeem gift certificates up to $100 in value.

“There may be individual circumstances that require an exception, and those will be considered on a case by case basis,” Barone said.
