General George Washington will once again the Joy Homestead as The Cranston Historical Society opens the Joy Homestead for our Colonial Christmas and invites all our friends, new and old to join us around the warm hearth for holiday cheer. Joy Homestead is recognized by the National Parks Heritage Trail as a historic site on the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route. Kids are always welcome at Joy Homestead to play with our colonial toys including our revolutionary war limberjacks. We encourage our colonial and revolutionary fans to don their uniforms and cloaks and join us for Christmas in the 1774 home of shoemaker Job Joy. Younger girls if they would like become American Girls for the day are welcome to try on our reproduction colonial dresses and mob caps and take their photos with General Washington.
