RI State Police Charge 9 With Drunken Driving On New Year's Eve
"For every impaired driver our troopers take off the road, a potential tragedy is averted," Col. James Manni said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — Nine people were accused of drunken driving the night of New Year's Eve, according to Rhode Island State Police.
"[New Year's Eve] night was a busy one for our Troopers and they arrested nine people for suspected impaired driving," Col. James Manni said. "For every impaired driver our troopers take off the road, a potential tragedy is averted, but we need motorists to make better choices. Drinking or using drugs and driving is always a bad decision."
The following drivers were arrested Thursday night or early Friday morning.
