Woman Dies After Early Monday Plainfield Pike Crash
A 71-year-old woman has died after she crashed into a tractor trailer.

A 71-year-old North Scituate woman who crashed into a tractor trailer on Plainfield Pike early Monday morning died from her injuries at Rhode Island Hospital, police said.
Police identified the victim as Dorothea Beaumier of North Scituate.
Police said the truck was turning left onto Plainfield Pike at around 3:40 a.m. when Beaumier crashed into the trailer. Her vehicle became wedged underneath the trailer.

The crash occurred in front of 2075 Plainfield Pike and the truck is owned by Constantini Bros. of Johnston. Police said no charges are likely and the crash remains under investigation.
A portion of Plainfield Pike in Johnston was closed this morning as the accident scene was reconstructed.
